HUDSON – The owner of Hudson’s Sparkling River development will ask for school impact fee assessments to be waived at the town Planning Board meeting scheduled for Wednesday night.
The 55-plus development, on Route 3A just off Derry Road, had a previously approved site plan with the town since 2004. Town planner John Cashell said the owners are asking for an amendment to the current agreement, which if passed, would nix the one-time fees charged at the time of occupancy for each residential unit.
“We’ve been collecting that impact fee in accordance with their approval since they started building. We collect that fee on a per-unit basis,” Cashell said.
