LACONIA (AP) - New Hampshire Governor-Elect Maggie Hassan is taking her Innovate-NH tour to Laconia.
Hassan will deliver remarks at the 17th annual meeting of the New Hampshire Division of Economic Development at the Lake Opechee Inn conference center.
The meeting's theme is "Business without Borders" - focusing on recruitment and international trade. Hassan is scheduled to speak at 1 p.m. to about 200 business owners and state officials.
She will then tour Lakes Region Community College's Energy Services and Technology Program, which trains students for jobs in the burgeoning energy services sector.
During her campaign Hassan emphasized the need to develop educational programs and incentives to meet the growing need for skilled workers in computer technology and related fields.![]()
