Milford 49, Con Val 36
The Spartans improved to 2-1 in Division II, thanks in part to a balanced scoring effort and an 11-2 run in the second half that put the game away. Dina Pitsas led Milford with 14 points, as nine of 10 players scored for the Spartans. Jennifer Dupuis added seven points while Casey Phelps came off the bench to add six points and Brittney White scored all five of her points during Milford’s second half run.
With the Spartans up, 32-27, with a minute to play in the third, White’s layup and buzzer-beating 3-pointer gave Milford a 10-point lead. The Spartans opened the fourth by scoring six of the next eight points to go up 43-29.
