HUDSON – Hudson Police Chief Jason Lavoie’s days on the beat may be well behind him, but that doesn’t mean he’s doesn’t have a few of his old skills. Two men were arrested Sunday night following a high-speed pursuit that topped 100 mph and began after Lavoie witnessed a hit-and-run crash. Lavoie saw the crash at Greeley Street and Route 111 around 11 p.m. Sunday. The chief was in an unmarked cruiser at the time and followed the white Chevy Cobalt when it fled the scene. While Lavoie was following the vehicle and attempting to stop it, the suspect drove recklessly and nearly crashed into Lavoie, police said. A short time later, officers Daniel Dolan and James Connor joined the pursuit in marked cruisers.
