NASHUA – Police checking on a report of juveniles throwing snowballs at passing cars Monday afternoon ended up making a felony arrest that had nothing to do with the snowballs. Instead, police said Charles Daye, 20, of 9 Harbor Ave., was charged with being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, which is a Class B felony and punishable by up to seven years in prison, plus fines. Police said officers responding to the area of the Elm Street parking garage around 5:45 p.m. Monday located Daye and found that he was in possession of metal knuckles. Police made the arrest after reviewing Daye’s criminal history, which showed he was convicted in February 2012 on a burglary charge, a Class B felony. This prohibits him from possessing a dangerous weapon, police said. Daye was released on $5,000 bail pending an arraignment, which is scheduled for Jan.
