NASHUA – A long-closed gas station will be torn down and incorporated into the adjoining Daniel Webster Plaza on South D.W. Highway as part of a Massachusetts retail property firm’s expansion into Nashua.
“I think Nashua is one of the best destination retail markets in the region –in New England, really,” said Aubrey Cannuscio, Partner of Acquisitions with Linear Retail Properties LLC of Burlington, Mass., which announced the purchase Thursday. “I live in Westford, Mass., and this (Nashua) is where I shop. I know how busy it is.”
The $1.45 million purchase involves a one-acre parcel at 219 Daniel Webster Highway owned by Cumberland Farms, which once housed Nick’s Exxon.
Cannuscio said the company plans to redevelop the site into a single story, 12,000-square-foot retail shopping center that would share access and parking area with the Daniel Webster Plaza, on the west side of Daniel Webster Highway, opposite Best Buy.
