MERRIMACK – A 44-year-old man was arraigned Thursday on a series of domestic violence charges after he allegedly assaulted and physically restrained a family member on Wednesday, police said.
Matthew Bobola, 19 Hilton Drive, was taken into custody at 33 Elm St. shortly after 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, according to police, who had issued a warrant for his arrest after taking a report from the alleged victim earlier in the day.
Police said the unidentified victim reported being assaulted and restrained by Bobola during an argument at their home. Police didn’t indicate whether the victim required medical treatment.
Bobola is charged with three counts of simple assault - domestic violence, and one count each of criminal restraint, second-degree assault and attempted second-degree assault.
He was initially held on $50,000 cash only bail, police said.
