Milford police mum on untimely death, missing woman investigations

MILFORD – Police remained mum Sunday on their investigations into Friday’s untimely death and the disappearance of 51-year-old Lorinda White, who was last seen at her Milford residence on Aug. 5. A dispatcher said Sunday evening that detectives had been in and out of headquarters during the day, but are releasing no further information on the status of the search for White. Likewise, the dispatcher said, no additional information is being released on the identity or circumstances surrounding the discovery Friday noontime of a deceased individual outside the Jacques Memorial School. William Pillsbury, White’s boyfriend of three years, said Saturday night that although the family assumes the body is that of White, he is still waiting for the official word from police. Until then, he said, he doesn’t want to discuss the case further. Pillsbury has called the disappearance “way out of character” for White and said he was worried that some sort of medical condition is to blame.
