NASHUA – Officials for a Hindu temple hope to move to an 18th century farmhouse that used to be the site of the Broad Street Country Store.
Meanwhile, motorists on Main Dunstable Road may soon run on a new Dunkin’ Donuts, depending on the outcome of a Planning Board meeting on Thursday .
Both proposals are on the agenda for the board’s 7 p.m. meeting.
Hindu Temple of New Hampshire officials hope to relocate from 1 Progress Ave. to a retail and office building at 523-525 Broad St. The congregation is seeking to change the use of the site, which is an old farmhouse and barn outbuilding, to a religious temple with religious instruction.
The site fronts a residential development called Majestic Heights.
Representatives from the Hindu Temple of New Hampshire couldn’t be reached for comment Friday.
According to the Planning Board’s staff report on the project, Hindu Temple services aren’t structured; worshippers come on weekdays between 6 and 9 p.m.
