A pair of allegedly drunk drivers, one from Nashua and the other from Massachusetts, made the jobs of police officers in two towns a whole lot easier than usual over the past few days.
In separate, but somewhat similar cases, police in Windham and Burlington, Mass., each experienced a rare encounter of a different kind this week when their respective drunk-driving suspects found them, instead of them having to go out and track them down.
In the first incident, on Jan. 4, Nashua resident John Hickox, 54, of 152 Concord St., was arrested after walking into the Burlington Police Department lobby “to complain about various issues,” Burlington officers posted on the department’s Facebook page.
The rather humorous scenario has a serious side: Hickox was charged with his fifth drunk driving offense. According to its police logs, Burlington police arrested Hickox around 3 p.m. on Friday, Jan.
