NASHUA – All there’s left to do is vote.
On Tuesday, the Board of Aldermen gave the green light, and a few thousand bucks, to get a special election under way to fill a state House seat representing Ward 4 Nashua in District 31.
The board suspended its rules to give both first and second readings of the resolutions and to approve them Tuesday.
One bill authorizes the transfer of $1,990 from general contingency to the city clerk’s general fund operating budget to cover the special election’s expenses – officials’ wages and miscellaneous supplies.
The other sets the polling times for the election: from 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Feb. 19.
Ward 4’s polling place is Ledge Street Elementary School, 139 Ledge St.
Two candidates face off to fill the seat; Republican Elizabeth Van Twuyver, of 9 Pine Hill Ave. and Democrat Pam Brown, of 2 Clocktower Place, Apt.
