Weather permitting, the city’s Solid Waste Department will be picking up residents’ Christmas trees at curbside for two weeks. Pick-up begins Monday, Jan. 7 and continues through Friday, Jan. 18. To get yours off your property, the tree stand and ornaments must be removed from the tree. Trees should not be placed in plastic bags. The city also will not pick up a Christmas tree if it’s stuck in the ice or snow, or placed on top of a snow bank. Trees should be placed at curbside by 6:45 a.m. on residents’ regular collection day during this two-week period. Fore more information, visit the city website at www.gonashua.com or call the solid waste department at 589-3410. – MARYALICE GILL
