WEARE (AP) - A firefighter is recovering after being hit by an elderly driver at the scene of an accident in Weare.
Thirty-one-year-old Jeff Lewis was directing traffic around the accident on Route 77 when he was hit on Wednesday.
WMUR-TV reports (http://bit.ly/XnRSXF) that Lewis was taken to the hospital and that his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
Police say the driver, 91-year-old Alice Grenier, of Weare, has been charged with vehicular assault and reckless operation.
