Anywhere the Merrimack High School hockey players look, the Green Wave lurks.
Dover ruined the Tomahawks season by manhandling them in the Division II finals two years ago in the biggest game in the brief history of the Merrimack program.
Last year, in the regular season, Dover won in overtime.
Now, Merrimack is enjoying another great first half of the season, starting off at 8-0. But there they are, the Green Wave waiting at Manchester’s West Side Arena at 4 p.m. on Wednesday to try to spoil the party.
A potential battle of unbeatens was tainted a tad when Dover lost to a surging Goffstown team over the weekend, but 6-1-1 is nothing to sneeze at and the Tomahawks know it.
“It’s going to be a battle regardless,” Merrimack coach Kurt Mithoefer said.![]()
