HUDSON – Donations from across the county have poured in for an 11-year-old Hudson girl battling a brain tumor.
On Friday, members of the Hudson Police Department and Robert Faherty, chairman of Cops for Kids with Cancer foundation, presented McKenzie Lowe and her family with a donation to help offset the cost of her medical care and travel expenses for her family. They met with the fifth-grader, who attends Hills Garrison Elementary School, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
McKenzie was diagnosed with a brain tumor roughly a month and a half ago and has been receiving her treatments in Boston since December.
The donation from Cops for Kids with Cancer foundation was $5,000.
