Cats vs. dogs: NH ranks high for feline ownership but low for canines

NEW HAMPSHIRE – Attention all cat lovers: New Hampshire is officially a feline-friendly state. The American Veterinary Medical Association recently released the U.S. Pet Ownership and Demographics Sourcebook, which showed 34.2 percent of the state’s households owned a cat in 2011. New Hampshire ranked 10th in the nation for cat ownership for that year.
