MILFORD – Amber Barbagallo was only a young teenager when Barack Obama spoke at the Democratic National Convention in 2004, but she watched the proceedings on TV and it helped solidify her commitment to political action and to the Democratic Party. So Barbagallo, a 2008 graduate of Milford High School, is excited that the Presidential Inaugural Committee has chosen her to carry the New Hampshire banner in Obama’s inaugural parade in Washington on Monday. “I really identified with what they were saying, and that convention had an impact on me,” she said in an email last week. “It is very exciting knowing I will be part of such an historic event.” Barbagallo graduated from Plymouth State University in May and was hired to be the New Hampshire State Senate Caucus PAC finance director. It’s not surprising she was picked for the job.
