NASHUA – A traffic stop ended with the driver’s arrest for being a habitual offender of motor vehicle laws, police said.
Shayne Jennings, 25, of 301 River Road, New Ipswich, was arrested after being stopped Tuesday afternoon on Canal Street for failing to use a turn signal, police said.
Jennings was charged with driver’s license prohibitions, a class A misdemeanor, and habitual offender, a class B felony, police said.
Officers learned Jennings’ license was suspended and his license status revoked on Dec. 9, 2010, for
being a habitual offender, police said. The investigation was furthered by detectives in the Criminal Investigations Division.
Detectives determined Jennings also has a prior conviction for disobeying a police officer. This conviction raises the habitual offender offense to a felony, police said.
