“Empty Bowls,” Nashua High School South’s annual benefit for the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter, will really feature empty bowls unless volunteers step up.
More help is needed to pick up pots of soup on the afternoon of the event, slated 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 20.
“We are in desperate need of volunteers to help us to pick up soup and bread the day of the event,” said visual arts director Robin Peringer, who organizes the event, in a statement on the Soup Kitchen’s Facebook page.
Contact Peringer at perringerr@nashua.edu if you are able to pick up a pot of soup and deliver it to the Nashua South cafeteria that afternoon.
Businesses interested in donating food and other items to the event should contact National Art Honor Society treasurer Jacob Lavoie at lavoiejd8@aol.com.
