With a blizzard to start February, what a difference a month makes.
January turned out to be the 13th-driest month to start the year since 1884 for Nashua. Since we saw little precipitation, it follows that snowfall was below normal after having a surplus in December.
The lack of storms wasn’t local, either. Most of the nation had less rain and fewer snowstorms than usual in part because of an inactive subtropical jet stream.
