The Telegraph earned 19 awards at the New England Newspaper and Press Association annual conference Saturday night in Boston, including eight for first place, more than any other New Hampshire newspaper.
A series of stories on Sunshine Week, the state’s prescription drug epidemic, 50 years of Nashua business history, and the state’s economic competitiveness – called the New Hampshire Advantage, all gained first-place nods.

First place
Business/economic reporting for the New Hampshire Advantage series. The judges said: “The Telegraph’s six-part series on the ‘New Hampshire Advantage’ gave readers an in-depth look at the state’s competitiveness in a wide variety of key areas. The panel discussion hosted by the newspaper and the Greater Nashua Chamber was an excellent culmination of the well-planned project.”
Health reporting for the Addiction Epidemic series covering pill addiction. The judges said: “The paper made a remarkable commitment to putting the spotlight on the scourge of prescription drug addiction.
