Senate President Peter Bragdon, R-Milford, told a Senate committee Tuesday that it’s time to remove the three ramp tolls along the F.E. Everett Turnpike in Merrimack.

“Hearing my Dad who is 80, we lived in Merrimack almost all our lives the toll booths were only suppose to be there for a short time,” wrote Shelly McLaughlin.
Richard C. Barnes also commented on the longevity of the tolls, stating that they don’t serve their purpose.
“When the majority of the money collected goes to the method of collection, that’s a sign it’s a bad form of taxation,” Barnes wrote.
