NASHUA – A Massachusetts man learned the hard way this week that Craigslist may not be the best place to advertise the sale of illegal prescription drugs.
Stephen Lombardo, of Chelmsford, Mass. was arrested this week for allegedly trying to sell prescription drugs over the Internet. Nashua police officers arrested Lombardo Thursday on felony charges of sale of a narcotic drug.
Investigators obtained Lombardo, 39, following a two-week investigation that stemmed from an online tip. The tip, reported to the Nashua Police Narcotics Intelligence Division, alerted police of an “add” posted on Craigslist.org advertising the sale of Percocet and Oxycontin pills.
According to police, the add read: “OC 80’s and Perc 10’s FOR SALE!!”
Undercover officers contacted Lombardo and arranged to make a purchase.
