MERRIMACK – A local man faces a felony theft charge after stealing and then pawning items from a residence where he had lived for a short time, police said.
A resident discovered items missing from a home on Nov. 26, police said. During an investigation, police subsequently discovered some of the items had been pawned, and obtained an arrest warrant for a man who had been temporarily staying at the residence, police said.
Craig Massua, 27, of 7 Profile Drive is charged with theft. He is unrelated to the victim, but lived temporarily at the residence, police said.
The items Massua is accused of taking are worth $1,500, which made the theft charge a Class A felony.
