TYNGSBOROUGH, Mass. – Ben Robinson saved his best for his final career home game on Thursday, and the Bishop Guertin High School boys hockey team may be playing its best in the Division I season’s final week.
Robinson’s two goals, along with some good goaltending and some metal, carried the Cardinals to a 2-1 preliminary round win over Hanover at Skate 3. The eighth seeded, 9-9-1 Cards now advance to face Manchester Memorial on Saturday at 4:30 at JFK Coliseum in the quarterfinals.
“I think it’s his first two goals of the year,” Guertin coach Gary Bishop said of his senior forward. “He worked real hard.
