With a green light from the Nashua City Planning Board last week, the Nashua Soup Kitchen & Shelter will soon move into new quarters at 2 Quincy St.
But not before Nashua VFW Post 483 has its final breakfast there, bringing its 92-year history at that location to an end.
The breakfast, from 8-11 a.m. Sunday, is open to the public and doesn’t require an RSVP to attend.
Adults eat for $6.50, children ages 6-12 eat for $3.50 and those ages 6 or younger eat for free. Breakfast includes omelets, home fries, pancakes and more.
Post 483 invites the public to spend time with friends and say goodbye to the building that has been its home for 92 years.
The breakfast is also an opportunity for members to exchange numbers in order to keep in touch while the VFW looks for a new home.
Breakfast proceeds help veterans and their families and support uniforms for the color/honor guard that serves at funerals at no expense to a veteran’s family.
