MANCHESTER – The game plan was the right one. The right halftime adjustments were made. But ultimately, the Campbell High School boys basketball team just didn’t have enough weapons.
The Cougars played inspired basketball to reach the finals from the fifth seed. Then they ran into their longtime nemesis: Conant High School, of Jaffrey.
Conant’s 66-46 victory, before a packed house at Southern New Hampshire University, was the school’s sixth Division III title in eight years.
It didn’t come without a fight against the only team to beat the top-seeded Orioles this winter.
The Cougars stunned a basketball-crazed town back on Jan.
