Working with his hands, doo-wop music and hot rods are George Torrey’s passion, but mainly the hot rod part.
Torrey, of Milford, builds hot rods for himself and friends in his automobile memorabilia-covered garage.
“Today’s cars are all looking the same,” he said. “You get into a Model A 1932 Ford, Chevy, ’40 Fords, they’re very identifiable.”
When Torrey builds a hot rod, he uses an old frame with late- model running gear in the vehicle.
