MILFORD – A man who was killed Tuesday afternoon while working on a tree behind his house has been identified as William Duncklee, 72, Police Chief Michael Viola said Tuesday night.
What police say was an accident occurred sometime after 2 p.m. Tuesday at 7 Ball Hill Road.
Viola said Tuesday that Duncklee was cutting down a tree, but police were not sure what happened.
The state medical examiner’s office was at the scene, he said, and officials were investigating the cause of death.
Milford police, fire officials and ambulance service personnel responded.
Around 2:30 p.m., the wooded area behind the home was cordoned off with yellow tape by the Police Department and the Fire Department’s chaplain arrived on the scene after responding to an emergency call, said Viola.![]()
