Merrimack’s Gendron voted Mr. NH Basketball, BG’s Green named Miss NH Basketball

Merrimack High School junior guard Eric Gendron was voted Mr. New Hampshire Basketball and Bishop Guertin senior Meghan Green was named Miss New Hampshire Basketball by the New Hampshire Basketball Coaches Association on Sunday. Green also was named Player of the Year in Division I and was joined on the Division I first team by teammate Jamie Sherburne, Alvirne’s Sandi Purcell and Nashua North’s Taylor Choate. Gendron was named a first team guard for the Division I boys and his coach, Tim Goodridge, was named Division I Coach of the Year. The Player of the Year in Division I was Troy Pelletier of Manchester Central, who joins Gendron on the first team, along with Bishop Guertin senior Jeff Lunn. Dominic Paradis, a senior forward from Spaulding of Rochester, won the Jack Ford Scholar Athlete Award. The girls Ford award went to Lebanon guard Moriah Morton, who was also the Division II Player of the Year. Junior guard Pat Welch of Division II champion Pembroke Academy was named the Division II player of the year.
