NASHUA – By the New Hampshire Food Bank’s estimation, the number of people going hungry in the state has risen from 67,000 to 143,000 in the past eight years.
Mel Gosselin, executive director of the Food Bank, said her organization is overwhelmed, and with a shortfall in state and federal funding for outside programs, they had to come up with a new plan.
They decided to make something out of nothing.
The “Nothing” campaign began earlier this month with a grand launch March 6 in Bedford with Gov. Maggie Hassan.
