MERRIMACK – A Wire Road resident with ties to a woman facing a homicide charge has been arrested for selling heroin, police said.
Timothy Deichler, 34, of 86 Wire Road, was arrested Wednesday and charged with three counts of unlawful sale of a controlled drug, heroin, and possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute.
Deichler is the former boyfriend of Melissa Gutierrez, who faces a negligent homicide charge related to the 2011 drowning death of her 8-month-old son in Merrimack. In 2004, Deichler was sentenced to 21 months in prison for possessing a rifle as a convicted felon.
Deicher was arrested in 2004 as police investigated a drive-by shooting at Gutierrez’s home in Manchester.
Police found a rifle in Deichler’s house, but it didn’t match the bullets fired at Gutierrez’s home. No one was hurt in that shooting.
Gutierrez, then 17, told police she had argued with Deichler over some cocaine he told her to hold for him.
