NASHUA – Gate City Community Gardens needs a little fertilizer to get its hopes of building a downtown community garden off the ground.
Through a crowdfunding page at www.youcaring.com, the local gardening group hopes to raise $3,000-$5,000 dollars by April 26 to purchase supplies including raised beds, soil, mulch, equipment, water access, ornamental plants, and other necessities.
The garden, planned for a parcel near Palm Square, will bring social engagement, public wellness, safer neighborhoods, and environmental stewardship through gardening, according to the group.
