NASHUA – Minus the context, the scene in the back of the St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church parking lot on West Hollis Street was plain weird.
A handful of cops toting handheld radios, blue and black handguns, and bundled against a chilly breeze with jackets, knit hats and gloves. Todd Moriarty and Josh Santiago would sporadically start jogging in circles or sprinting for a dozen feet or so, shouting into their radios. Sometimes Moriarty would fire two to five blank shots into the ground.
