NASHUA – What’s the connection between a company that specializes in logistics software and one that specializes in a particular kind of welding equipment?
More than you might think, says Leo White of Mont Vernon.
White recently bought Alternative Logistics, a Nashua company specializing in order fulfillment for some 40 other businesses throughout North America and Europe.
Before that, he owned Bortech Corp. of Keene, which designed and sold welding systems that could work on round components, like conical surfaces and the interior of curves. Bortech was sold last year to Climax Portable Machine Tools of Oregon.
The key to both companies?
“We focus on a few certain things, things where we are experts, and don’t do too much,” White said.
