My family made a great discovery during Thanksgiving dinner this year: we have the perfect plates for a feast.
The plates are big, and curved up around the edges, preventing anything that’s been piled on them from spilling over. Thankfully, we only use them for special occasions. Otherwise, the stuffed feeling we all experienced Thursday night might happen on a more regular basis.
No matter how much I seem to eat on Thanksgiving, I always feel like I’ve eaten more than I should. Sometimes it’s intentional, especially when Mom’s stuffing is on the table, but I know I don’t really eat a ton of turkey.
Does anyone?
No, but it got me thinking, how much turkey does get consumed in this country on Thanksgiving.
