HUDSON – Like his father did in 1972, Hudson resident Gary Carney says he hopes he, too, can win the lottery.
And if he’s lucky enough to cash in on a half-billion dollars, he said he plans to give most of the money away.
“Nobody needs that much money. You would have to give a ton of it away. I could run for president if I have that kind of money,” Carney said from Roger’s Variety, in Hudson on Monday while purchasing Powerball tickets.
The saying goes that all you need is “a dollar and a dream” to win the lottery, but in this case, it’s $2 a ticket and that dream is shared by millions of people around the country.
