HUDSON – If things go well digging on land behind Sparkling River condos, Hudson may have a new water source for the town.
On Tuesday night, the Board of Selectmen approved spending no more than $25,100 to conduct test well drilling on the land, on Route 3A.
Town engineer Gary Webster came before the board with his request, explaining this was an area that the town had eyed years ago for a possible additional water source because of the aquifer that is there, but was never fully explored.
He struck a deal with the current owner of the property to allow the town to test his land.
