NASHUA - The wait is over for TJ Jann.
Jann, who has struggled through a year-long rehab from Tommy John surgery, picked up his first mound win in well over a year on Tuesday night as the Nashua Silver Knights cruised past the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs 9-1 before 622 at Holman Stadium.
It's been a progression. Jann didn't make it out of the first inning of his first start earlier this month, tossed four innings in his second, and was at an approximate 70-pitch limit on Tuesday. Over five innings he allowed one run on three hits, walking three, fanning four and hitting two batters. His last win came in a fall ball game for Penn State in late 2010.
"It's awesome," said Jann, who tossed 78 pitches, 42 for strikes.
