A city man arrested Sunday in connection with the burglary of a downtown business also was charged with driving offenses after police learned he drove to and from the alleged crime, police said. Darren Frost, 20, of 10 Arrow Lane, faces a Class B felony count of burglary, along with one count each of driving after suspension of registration, a Class A misdemeanor, and driving after suspension of his original youth license, a Class B misdemeanor, according to police. Officers were called to the business shortly before 9 a.m. Sunday for the report of a burglary, police said. When the initial investigation pointed to Frost as a suspect, officers located him and took him into custody, police said. Criminal Investigation Division detectives claim that Frost entered the business Saturday night “without being licensed or privileged to do so and with the purpose to steal from within.” Police said they added the driving charges after reviewing Frost’s motor vehicle status and finding that it was suspended. Frost was held overnight and arraigned Monday in Nashua district court. The burglary charge is punishable by up to seven years in prison, exclusive of fines, while the Class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to one year in jail, exclusive of fines, and the Class B misdemeanor, by fine only, police said. – DEAN SHALHOUP
