MERRIMACK – A local man was arraigned Tuesday in Merrimack district court on a variety of domestic violence-related charges stemming from a Monday afternoon incident at a Maple Street home, police said.
Beau Burgess, 28, of 7 Maple St., was arrested after the victim, described as his ex-girlfriend, told police Burgess damaged a door to gain entry to her house, then assaulted her twice, police said.
The incident happened just after 3 p.m. Monday at 8 Maple St. Police said Burgess was located across the street at 7 Maple St., the home of his parents.
The victim told police Burgess assaulted her as she tried to get away from him. She wasn’t injured and didn’t require treatment, police said.
