Nashua Coffey Post 8, Salem 3
Nick Reed led the way offensively for Coffey Post (3-2) with three hits and two RBIs including two doubles, while Joe McCarthy went nine solid innings, giving up five hits and one earned run while striking out 10 for the win.
Also contributing at the plate was Parker Jamerson with a multi-hit performance, while John McQuarrie, Shannon Martin and James Buckley each drove in runs.
Up next for Nashua is a non-district matchup against Merrimack on Friday at 5 p.m.
Concord 15, Merrimack 4
Mickey Gasper, Taylor Black and Eric Nadeau each had a RBI, but it wasn’t enough for Merrimack (0-3 in District A). Down 3-1 going into the sixth, Concord scored 14 runs over the final four innings to take the win.
Gasper gave Merrimack the lead in third, crushing a triple to right field to score Black, and he scored on a sacrifice fly by Nadeau that made it 3-1.
Corey Hutchinson also had a hit and scored a run while Devin Gillis had two hits, including a double, for Merrimack. Pat Korianski took the loss, going 5 2⁄ 3 innings and allowing five runs on nine hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
Concord (5-1) got four RBIs from Eddie Dionne and Sam McManus drove in three runs.
