UPDATE: At a brief press conference, police said the suspect is believed to be connected to recent burglaries, and that they continued to negotiate with him. They offered few other details, but one neighbor said officers told him that if everything went as planned, it would be another two to three hours.
NASHUA – A number of families evacuated just before 6 p.m. Wednesday remained away from their homes into the night as police and SWAT members manned positions around a home near East Dunstable Road that’s believed to be 2 Dane St.
A swarm of cruisers and emergency vehicles, including the Nashua Police Department Mobile Command Center, converged on the scene just after 5:30, drawing neighbors to their windows and then, away from their homes at police request.
About 9:45 p.m., police began talking to the person or people within the home over a bullhorn.
