MERRIMACK – A man faces stalking and other charges after police say he refused to leave a residence where he wasn’t wanted and banned from as a bail condition.
Ernest Demattia, 41, of 11 Nutmeg Lane, Merrimack, is charged with stalking, breach of bail conditions and resisting arrest.
At 1:17 a.m. Sunday, police responded to a residence on Front Street for the report of a possible domestic situation. En route, officers learned that an unwanted subject, Demattia, was at the residence uninvited, police said.
Furthermore, conditions of Demattia’s bail prohibited him from being at the residence, police said.
When officers arrived, they were told that Demattia had fled the area. One of the police officers was able to locate Demattia, and he fled when ordered to stop, police said.
