HUDSON – The man who was cut out of his car after a crash at Hudson Speedway on Sunday night was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, the Hudson fire chief said.
The accident occurred shortly after 9 p.m., when one car was hit by another and was part of the regular weekend racing schedule, according to Fire Chief Shawn Murray. Rescue and ambulance personnel were called to the scene, at 120 Old Derry Road, as a result of the crash.
He declined to identify the man who was involved, citing medical privacy. Murray noted that the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was evaluated at a local hospital.
“The problem was – there was no entrapment or anything – the way the race cars are designed,” the chief said.
