Hudson police called in the Nashua police bomb squad Monday morning after a woman found World War I-era ordnance in her grandparents’ old home.
The bomb squad, and its attendant robot, were called to 20 Highland St. around 10 a.m., Hudson Police Sgt. Donna Briggs said.
Gail Doiron said she had found the 37 mm bullet at her grandparents’ former home on Belknap Street about six months ago while cleaning out the building.
“I thought it was a cool thing,” she said. “I was going to use it as a knickknack.”
But over the weekend, she spoke with a veteran who suggested she call police.
