GOFFSTOWN – Republicans Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan brought their new-found partnership to New Hampshire on Monday, vowing to jump-start the economy by tossing President Barack Obama out of office for a “failed record” of broken promises.
“We are offering you solutions. The president has a failed record; he clearly can’t talk about that. He can’t change his tune; he’s tacking left,” Ryan said.
The visit was the first in New England for the presumptive Republican presidential ticket since Romney picked Ryan, a Wisconsin congressman, as his running mate 10 days ago.
More than 4,500 crowded into the outdoor venue wedged between college dormitories and classroom buildings on the campus of Saint Anselm College.
The campaign banked on good weather and got it with a seasonably comfortable rally billed by the campaign as Romney’s 100th town hall-style forum.
In front of a supportive crowd, the pair took eight questions from audience members on issues including the federal budget, deficit, the war in Afghanistan, U.S.
