Don’t be fooled by those blue skies and warm temperatures, today’s weather is creating problems across the state for a different reason – high wind. PSNH is reporting power outages in dozens of communities, including hundreds of customers in Hudson, Milford, Amherst and Merrimack. As of noontime, most of Nashua had been spared from the wind gusts, but over in Merrimack, several downed trees had been reported to emergency officials. Cars were temporarily banned from Lawrence and Gauthier Roads as well as Dover Street. The National Weather Service issued a High Wind Warning for most of New Hampshire with sustained winds of up to 40 miles per hour and gusts of up to 58 miles per hour. The winds were expected to remain a problem until sunset on Thursday.
