11:50 a.m. -- It’s official -- two feet and counting
Severe weather conditions led to a quiet night Friday in and around Nashua, according to state and local police.
With up to two feet of snow blanketing the region, residents mostly stayed off the road, resulting in few, if any accidents or other incidents in Nashua, Hudson, Merrimack and other surrounding communities, police officers reported.
“People have been pretty good staying off the roads,” Nashua police Sgt. Shawn Hill said Saturday morning. “I think everyone is sort of hunkering down.”
Exactly 24 inches of snow was fell in Nashua overnight, according to the National Weather Service, which tracks snowfall totals across the region.
