NASHUA – A project to build an accessible playground in the city took a $25,000 step forward thanks to a grant from the McLean Contributionship.
The Legacy Playground is a project of the Leadership Greater Nashua, a yearlong professional development program for community leaders.
The playground has been in the works since summer 2012 and is expected to cost $250,000 to complete. The grant from the McLean Contributionship pushed total fundraising so far to $50,000.
The Contributionship is a grant program established by the McLean family of Bryn Mawr, Pa. The main financial supporter of the Contributionship – Independent Publications Inc. – is owned by the McLean family and is the parent company of The Telegraph.
